•Human Resources Tasks: Facilitate contact with USFJ for SOFA orders; contact local SOFA office, ID card office and Immigration office to complete paperwork; schedule orientation meetings with various USO and military offices and schedule housing meetings, driving test and new employee briefings.
•Facility Maintenance: Arrange for building issues to be fixed; work with office equipment providers to ensure office equipment is in working order and keep office supplies stocked.
• Financial Reporting: Submit Fin/Ops and Weekly reports to USO Arlington after following up with field; monitor monthly Skype usage reports, Volunteer report, VISA reconciliation, PTO Tracking, exchange rate tracking.
•Development: Maintain potential sponsorship listings; translate sponsorship letters to potential Japanese sponsors and assist with solicitation/packaging and mailing or sponsorship materials.

To qualify:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years experience, be bi-lingual (Japanese and English), and have strong computer skills.

• Evaluates programs and development plans for construction, renovation and improvements of real property facilities.
• Monitors and manages projects and/or programs for new construction, renovations and improvements for real property facilities.
• Guides projects and/or programs through all phases.
• Monitors projects and/or programs to assure adherence to schedules and critical path.
• Reviews architectural and engineering statements and reports.
• Conducts cost analyses to determine best practice/process to meet new requirements.
• Provides technical reviews of design calculations, analyses, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project objectives and standards.
• Serves as a technical expert concerning facilities planning, design and construction.
• Coordinates with Curriculum specialists to determine facility planning solutions.
• Coordinates with the host nation on construction projects.
• Travel – 40 percent – Around Japan, Korea and Guam.

Required Background
• Expert knowledge of architectural, engineering, design, construction and maintenance principles and techniques
• School construction experience a plus.
• Must be able to read blueprints, layouts and other specifications
• Experience in construction and renovation project management
• Thorough understanding of design calculations, analyses, drawings and specifications.
• Developing construction and/or renovation project plans
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US and in Okinawa, Japan
• Ability to pass a background check and to receive US Government contractor credentials
