Bio Medical Equipment Technician (BMET)

SIOTS a SDB Company is seeking a BMET to work at CAMP Foster for a minimum of year with an option for a second year. Candidate must meet the below requirements and must be certified on the DoD DMLSS system and a have a Secret Clearance.
The Bio Medical Equipment Technician (BMET) will perform specialized duties utilizing general knowledge/skills in the area of logistic management. Possess specialized knowledge/skills in medical equipment maintenance and planning.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and complete projects, sets deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitors and summarize progress of project.
• Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Coordinate and evaluate the installation of medical equipment that requires interface with other devices or with the medical facility.
• Resolves installation and associated maintenance support problems.
• Performs formal acceptance testing of complex medical equipment and systems installations.
• Develops and directs methods and procedures to be used in maintenance activities.
• Develops statement of work for biomedical equipment contract maintenance programs.
Qualifications:
• Minimum eight years experience providing general and/or specialized skills in medical logistics.
• Certification as Medical Equipment/Maintenance Technician or Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET)
• Experience in equipment maintenance and planning.
• Experience with technical inspection and training.
• Experience with Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) System.
• Experience with space and equipment planning system (SEPS II)
